Bruce Buffer tells my cats when to eat.
I wanted a clear signal for my cats so that they know when it's time for their nightly treat. They often would be sitting ready to eat an hour or two early because they enjoy this treat a great deal.
To help save them each night from an hour of anticipation and inevitable disappointment I decided they needed a 'trigger sound' to let them know when it's time.
So taking that idea literally, I selected my sound-bite and set out for a month to train them by ensuring that I play this sound directly before and even during feeding them.
Eventually they began reacting immediately and now even jump up and wait patiently for the kitty snacks to arrive. Then all that was left to do was to setup the notification on a 24 hour schedule using an IFTTT (If This, Then That) android phone automation.
The end result is that each night at exactly 8pm Bruce Buffer automatically tells my cats exactly when "iiiiiiiiiiiiiit's time!!!"
The exact sound that plays in my home every night at 8pm. Sometimes it even surprises me.
Problem solved.
